     Virginia Ridgeway called us in December to see what our schedule was like for the month.  We told her we were taking the holidays off and we were going to Las Vegas for Christmas.  She invited us to come and do an investigation for her, so on our way home from Las Vegas we made a stop in Goldfield to do it for her.
     We went to Virginias House to pick her up and off to the Hotel we went.  Earlier in the month Virginia and her friend Janice put a Christmas Tree in Elizabeths Room, when they did, the tree came to life with the branches moving and shimmering. It seems Elizabeth was very happy to have the tree and was showing them how happy she was.  Virginia was so excited she wanted to get this activity on film so she called on us to come in and get the video shots.
     We went into the hotel and down to Elizabeths room we went,  when we got to the room we went in and started our EVP recorders and said hello to Elizabeth and explained what we were doing there.  We set up our video camera and IR lights on the tri-pod and started rolling.  At one point we thought we got something...It was a piece of Christmas Tree Tinsel floating in the air in front of the camera.  At first we were thrilled, but as we started questioning it we came to the conclusion that it was attached to some video equipment that was laying on the floor that we picked up. It caused it to float up and go in front of the camera lense.
     We left the video camera running and left an EVP recorder in Elizabeths room and set out to do a brief investigation of the upper floors of the hotel.  We spent about 2 hours taking pictures, video, EVP and K-2 sessions but came up empty, the hotel was very quiet this day.  Maybe the spirits were on holiday break.
     We decided to wrap it up and went back downstairs to Elizabeths room to pack the camera up and we heard Virginia walking down the hallway talking with someone.  They were a couple who were passer bys and was outside the hotel when Virginia invited them in.  Virginia was explaining a little bit of the history and was talking about Elizabeth and how she was chained to the heating radiator.  At that point there was a brief pause with talking ,and on our EVP recorder we got the response  in an angry male voice ...."I CHAINED HER".    This EVP is posted at this site under  Video/Photographs section.  (in a Goldfield Video Clip)  Its best to hear the EVP's if the volume is turned up High or wear Headphones.   This EVP was the only outcome of the 2 hour visit of the Hotel this time.   There was no movement of the Christmas Tree at all.
     This Investigation was only done with Richard & Cimarron.  No other team members were preset.

     Thank you to Janice Oberding for putting in the good word for us to be able to do this investigation.
           I called Virginia Ridgeway earlier in the year to set the investigation up and she was very pleasant and said there was no problem.  But, I would not be able to bring my entire team, she wanted only a small group, she agreed to let me have 4 people.  Our future investigations will be in shifts.  I will take only 2 team members at a time.
     Our team members that went on this segment was.  Me, Cimarron, Rev. Wayne & Diane. (I will pick the next group by when they came to the team, and so on).
     The reputation  of the Goldfiel Hotel really holds up as being one of the most haunted places in the country, we were not dissapointed.  We arrived in Goldfield before noon and met with Virginia Ridgeway, she is the overseer of the hotel and the one who calls the shots on who comes into the hotel for investigations.  She took us on about a 2 hour tour of the hotel from basement to the 4th floor. (she only went as far as the 2nd floor).  We had our video cameras and recorders going throughout the tour, we did get EVP's durring this time, infact in one EVP we were told to "Shut Up"
     One thing that Virginia pointed out to us, and sparked our attention as well, was the old time mail slots that sits behind the bar in the lobby area.  Virginia told us that psychics that come in like to place their hand over the slot areas and they will pick up energy.  Cimarron (one of our teams psychics)  tried this and was AMAZED at what he was feeling.  He said it was like a tickleing feeling on his palms.  We then tried using our K-2 meter on the mail slots to see what would happen.....LOTS on energy between the Orange and Red.  Each room had different levels of energy,  and it seemed that every room had some sort of evergy in it. 
     We then made our way down to Elizabeths room to see if we could make contact.  The room has flowers in it, and if your lucky Elizabeth has been know to move the flowers for you.  We were not that lucky this time, BUT, we did get something equally as thrilling to witness.  We got a beautiful EVP from what we think is Elizabeth.  When Cimarron and I would leave the hotel or come back into the hotel we always made a point to go to Elizabeths room and let her know we were there, or that we were leaving.  This one instance we went into Elizabeths room to let her know we were there.  We said " Hello Elizabeth, we are here and will be here for a few hours"  The response we got on the EVP was "HELLO FELLAS"  in a womans voice.  I also stood outside Elizabeths room to take a picture down the hallway.  In Elizabeths room just inside the bedroom door is a beautiful orb.
     On the second floor in various places toy balls have been placed.  At times the balls will move or follow people.  Virginia provocated the spirits to move the balls for us,  they did move a bit, but they did not roll down the hallways.  You could see that something was trying to move them, just not enough evergy to get them to roll.  Throughout the invesigation we tried our best to get the spirits to move the balls, but they were just not going for it.
     At this point Virginia left and didnt want to go any further with the tour.  She just told us what to look for and different stories of the 3rd and 4th floors.   We then started with our investigation.  We got plenty of pictures of Orbs, too many to really talk about and give details about.  
     The investigators came to the conclusion durring the entire investigation the most active time was the dusk hour.  When we were on the 3rd floor the atmosphere durring this time was very heavy and oppressive, It seemed that each step we took was very hard to do.  One of the psychics said he was feeling alot of activity in the hallways as if people were going to and fro with a definate destination.  As if it was dinner time and the guests were heading down to the diningroom.
     At this point it was time for dinner and we had reservations at the Mizpah hotel in Tonopah for dinner and Virginia talked to the manager and got us a little inpromptu investigation set up for the Mizpah Hotel.
We met with the manager and he took us up to the 4th floor of the Mizpah and opened up some of the bedrooms to go through, take pictures, video and had our recorders going all the time.  We did get some good pictures of Orbs in the hallway, but that was just about it.  Im sure if we had more time we would have gotten more.  We did enjoy the time we had there, but we had to get back to the Goldfield Hotel for our night time investigation.i
     Virginia let us back into the Goldfield to start our night investigation and we started in the ballroom at the Grand Piano. We got going with a heated EVP/K-2 session alot of activity for a good hour, then it just died out.  The team then split up.  2 teams members went their way, and the other 2 team members when their way,  we met up again after 3 hours.  We made a stop in the lobby area to do another EVP-K-2 session. Cimarron was picking up something telling him to go to the old piano that sits in the lobby.  We walked over to it and as we did the K-2 meter was going crazy.  We sat the K-2 and a recorder on the old piano and started a question and answer session.  Each time we would ask questions the K-2 would respond to us.  This old piano was once owned by the movie star of Marie Dressler of the 1930's-1940's movie era.  And she has stayed at the Goldfield on many occassions acording to what Virginia told us.  She gave the piano to the hotel.  One of the questions I asked durring the K-2 session was "Was this piano once owned by Marie Dressler"  The K-2 Red lined and then fluxuated between orange/red.  I then asked the question   "Is this Marie Dressler that we are communicating with"  Again, the K-2 meter red lined.  I then started talking about the various movies that Marie Dressler was in, and all the time the K-2 meter was just flashing away.  I mentioned that my favorite Marie Dressler movie was  "Dinner at Eight"  The K-2 meter again red lined and started going crazy.  I then asked " Was Dinner at Eight your favorite movie as well?"  again...the K-2 red lined and started fluxating between orange and red.
     We then went to the room that is suppose to be occupied by a couple who were killed on the HMS Titanic that sunk in 1912.  Prior to the sinking this couple spent their honeymoon in the Goldfield Hotel in this room.  When they left the hotel they traveled to Europe and on there way back to the states fell victim to the sinking of the Titanic.  There spirits are said to be living in the room they had when they honeymmoned.  While we were doing an EVP session in this room Cimarron was being touched on his face...cheeks and lips.  I took a picture of him at this point, but nothing showes up.  Durring this session we both could see black shadow figures just outside the door in the hallway, it was as if they wanted to come it, but didnt.  We also have a video of a shooting orb in this room.
     The next day we were invited to Virginias house for breakfast, and then Virginia took us on a tour of Goldfield and told alot of the history of the town.  We met the sherriff and took a tour of the court house.  In the courthouse we got a strange anomoly picture....one picture after another and it is still there.  We also go a picture of an apperation at the bottom of the stairway in the courthouse.  Virginia then took us to the old Goldfield Cemetary.. quite interesting, and some very strange headstones.
     We did one last visit to the hotel and did another daytime investigation.  Again...lots of pictures of Orbs. But, we did get to meet the cowboy up on the 3rd floor.  He was showing himself to us, just as he shows himself to others.  At the end of the hallway at the junction of another hallway.  The only part that we could make out was the hat,head and shoulders.  We took pictures and video.  A bit of the video came out, but nothing showed on the pictures.   One of the investigators had the sensation that somethig was trying to make her follow it.  (not a good idea)  but, she followed her instincts and was led down the hallway to a room that had a dead bird in it.  (the 3rd and 4th floors have alot of dead birds)  She doesnt know why she was led there and thought it was very puzzling.
    This has been our biggest investigation so far.  Its taken us along time to go through all the evidance  and we still have to figure out what is going to be posted at this site.  Im just now getting this log done.
     Durring the entire investigation of the Hotel there was never a feeling of dread or anything ominous.  The feeling I got was nothing but good and inviting.  The infimous basement I guess would be the only ominouse thing about the Goldfield Hotel.  Mainly because it is in dissaray, lots of passage ways, and very dirty.  We wore masks while we were down there.   We did not see any flying bricks or boards.  Maybe next time.

     The investigation was held in the late afternoon to early evening hours, mainly due to the fact there is no electricity in the building. We had flashlights, but the owners were not comfortable with a night time
investigation.
     We stared off with a tour of the hotel held by  Susan (the site caretaker), she gave information on the building and site, but nothing  too revealing to tarnish the investigation, a bit of history of when the hotel was started and different aspects of the hotel over the years, even a fire back in the early 1900's.  The Hotel got its start in the 1860's and has been lived in as recently as 5 years ago by a family member of the owners.
     After the tour we started our investigation, splitting in teams of 3.  The cellar, main floor, and upper floor. then switching after an hour or so.  The main bulk of the evidence was in EVP form and HD snapshots, (mainly orbs)  The IR night vision camera picked up a very strange anomaly on the upper floor of the main hall way distorting.  We have never seen this before in past investigations, so I called a person who has assisted us in the past who is a psychic and paranormal investigator.  I was told that this anomaly does occur and the best way to explain would be like a spirit draining the battery  from the camera which causes the distortion.
     In the Cellar area durring an EVP/K-2 session we caught a class "A" EVP where we think two spirits are having what seems to be an argument. According to Susan this could quite possibly be her X-Husband and a woman who died in the upstairs bathroom.  The EVP is posted in the EVP section of this site, along with other other EVP's caught in the cellar.
     Durring the tour, myself and another investigator had the sensation of being touched on our face and our arms, this occured at the foot of the stairs in the main lobby area.
     For a first ever  paranormal investigation of the Union Hotel we think it is off to a good start. The door is open now for other investigators to investigate.  Just maybe we have opened the door and the spirits have stirred.  But, you better hurry.  The Hotel is up for sale at $300,000.   And if you see anything in the hotel you would like to have, make an offer, everything is for sale.

]]>Tue, 11 Oct 2011 00:40:59 GMThttp://empathicparanormal.com/ghost-blog/1This is the second investigation of the "O" Street house.  A bit of background information, Our first investigation was done back in March of 2011.  We were with another team prior to starting Empathic Paranormal. The first investigation got us an excellent full bodied apparition caught on the DVR system. Unfortunatly we cannot use this evidance to post due to the fact it was with another team and was not our equipment.
     The "O" Street house is very active 24/7 with periods of down time. The owners of the house are also good friends and they keep us posted on the activity that is going on.
     There seems to be two regular visitors to the house...Bo, who was a very close friend of the owner to the house and partner in their Antiques business. The home is filled with magnificent antique pieces they collected over the years togeather. Bo is watching over his friend and partner and is attached to the Antiques in the house we feel, we also feel that Bo likes where he is at and does not want to be crossed over.
     The second regular visitor is a woman by the name of Mary. We feel in some way she is connected to the Saint Mary-Louise Hospital/Art Center that is located near by and can be seen clearly from the house. She seems to be attracted to the warmth and love and beauty of the house and likes to visit at all times of the day or night. She is seen in the house dressed in Red period clothing of the 1800's and at other times she is  seen in what could be best described as Biblical Robe type clothing.
    The "O" street house is located about a block away from the Virginia City Cemetary and one block up from the Saint Marys-Louise Hospital/Art Center. It is felt by the psychics that the house sits on sort of a spirit highway so to speak at they are open to frequent visitors passing through due to the history of Virginia City.
     Durring the investigation this time there were 7 investigators.  Pictures of Orbs were caught on HD Cameras in the kitchen and at the top of the stairway landing. A few Class "A" EVP's , Cold spots moving amongs us both downstairs and upstairs, and a brief K2 question and answer session was caught in the diningroom. It was not as active as it has been, or can be.  There maybe an "O" Street  Investigation part 3 sometime.
]]>Sun, 25 Sep 2011 01:15:00 GMThttp://empathicparanormal.com/ghost-blog/mark-twain-ranchThe Mark Twain Ranch is owned by one of our new Investigators.  We saw pictures that were taken on the property that had Orbs in the Barn and Corral areas.  We were then told we were welcome to come out and do an investigation and we were told we will pick up evidance.  When we arrived at the Ranch we first started investigating the Barn area, right off the bat we were getting beautiful orb pictures at the Barn and in the Corrals.  We then started doing a K-2, EVP session in the tack room of the barn and got good response from  the clients spirit guide "Gray Feather"  We came to the conclusion that he is a watcher over the Ranch and the Horses, as well as the client.  The psychis on the team also picked up on another gurardian of the Ranch..a Cowboy or Ranch hand that goes by the name of Mathison.    He was active with us for about 15 minutes, and then left.  One of the Psychics picked up he was done talking with us and had alot of work to do and didnt want to be bothered anymore.  We then left the Barn area and went up to the pump house well area because of some activity going on there, we didnt get any response from  the area.  After about an hour of walking the grounds we decided to go back to the  barn and try another EVP session.  We went into the barn closed the barn doors and proceeded for about another hour.  We picked up movement around the barn with very cold spots that were moving amongst us. We also got the strong smell of cigar or pipe smoke.  The spirit seemed to be concentrating on one specific investigator inparticular, we think it has to do with his age,  he felt being touched as well as his arm freezing cold.  Due to the investigation being outdoors the EVP's were more or less a dead subject because of all the outside noises,  crickets chirping, horses, dogs barking, cars passing.  All in all the investigation was clean and not alot was caught except for the picutes of orbs.  A few personal experiences in the barn area with the cold and the smell of cigar/pipe smoke.]]>Thu, 01 Sep 2011 17:00:53 GMThttp://empathicparanormal.com/ghost-blog/mound-house-16-august-2011This Investigation is a call back from a previous investigation about 5 months ago with a previous team. We were called by the client that she was feeling uneasy again and wanted us to come in.
     Beings this is a new team, this was our first investigation together, and the team was not let down as far as getting activity and evidence.
     At the previous investigation there was a crossover performed of a spirit that was not a happy spirit, and downright mean. Our psychics on the team possibly think a murderer of some children. The historian on the team did some checking and came up empty handed, possibly this all took place before records were being kept.
     It was determined that there was a number of childrens spirits left in the house, and one of the childrens name was Alice, an older child and was acting like a guardian of the other younger children. It was brought up by on of the psychics that Alice has been doing this for some 80 years.
     We did  Video, EVP's, Pictures, Ghost Box, and K2 exercises throughout the investigation and we got some class "A" evp's and photos of Orbs, Appirations, and a Black mass. (all posted on the site).  We did not get any K2 activity, the spirits did their communicating through the psychics.
     We have a team member who has performed corssovers before and with the assistance of the psychics on the team, we were able to crossover two of the children successfully.  Four of the other children were afraid to cross and Alice didn't want to cross and leave the others behind.  We set a date with the client to come back and try to cross the other children over.  We did go back and we were able to cross the other children over including Alice successfully.  After the crossing, the entire home felt much brighter and lighter, there was no heaviness in the air.
    As for the mean spirit that was crossed over, a few months ago prior to this investigation, it was dertermined by the psychics that his name was Peter, and that he was Not crossed over, and was just banished from the property instead.  He has been looking for a way back in, but in a previous ceremony the property was salted and this has prevented him from getting back in.  At this time we performed a ceremony to close the portal and to banish him from the area for good and never come back.
     I would like to give thanks to Janice Oberding and Sandie LaNae for their assistance and guidance with our investigation with the closing of the portal and the banishment.  In this field. Knowledge is definetly power.
     The client has decided not to move back into the house with her children.  She is selling the property.]]>Mon, 04 Jul 2011 17:42:14 GMThttp://empathicparanormal.com/ghost-blog/july12011-the-house-of-good-and-evilOur first call for help came from Dayton,Nv.  One of our team members has a friend who has a very active home in Dayton. We ended up calling it the house of Good and Evil when the investigation was over. One bad spirit full of malevolent intent to break the family up and feeding on their energy. The other spirit is watching over and protecting the family battling the molevalent spirit.  All the rooms in the house are active, but the strongest activity comes from the childs bedroom and  upstairs hallway.  The garage area has a feeling of doom and dispair, one of our psychics could not stay in the garage area for very long and had to get out. 
   A Native American cleansing and blessing was done on the house after the investigation.  The feeling in the house was noticed to be alot lighter and brighter, and a sence of happiness  came over the house and the owner could feel it.  The house should be quiet now, maybe another cleansing and blessing in the near future, or maybe a crossover will have to be done.
